Join us for our 2021 Heart for Hunger Kick-Off, featuring Golden Gopher Head Football Coach, PJ Fleck. Together, we’ll celebrate the impact Heart for Hunger made in our communities in 2020, and get inspired for the year to come with Coach Fleck. You won’t want to miss it! Since 2017, Heart for Hunger has raised nearly $500,000 to support Union Gospel Mission’s food distribution – providing meals to families and individuals in need, here in the Twin Cities.

J.R. will talk about his courageous journey as an Army veteran and burn survivor, as well as his experiences as a New York Times' best-selling author, actor, motivational speaker, and finalist on "Dancing with the Stars." He's a firm believer that life is what you make it, and he's proof of that.

Lisa Graft is an emotional, creative, insightful, and encouraging storyteller. She’s a writer, speaker, and podcast host that leads women into authentic relationships with themselves, God, and others. She does this through her weekly podcast called the Megaphone, as well as her various speaking engagements, online communities, workbooks, and courses, and live workshops and events -- all designed to give women permission to show up in the world without apology, rediscover their true identities, and redefine what it means to belong.

Grace Pomroy is a financial educator, speaker, and coach. She helps couples transform their relationship and deepen their intimacy by having an open and honest conversation about money. She empowers them to connect their money and their values so they can create a more fulfilling life together. In 2017, she became a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI). She is currently the Director of the Stewardship Leaders Program at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, and co-owner of Embracing Stewardship, LLC.

Vince Miller is a speaker and author to men. After serving in notable ministry organizations for over 28 years (including Young Life, InterVarsity, TCU Football, and Eagle Brook Church), Vince founded Resolute, a non-profit organization focused on providing men with tools for discipleship and mentorship. He’s written 16 books and handbooks, along with small group videos that are resources for mentorship.

Empower a Scholar

Thursday, April 15th - Friday, May 7th


Small school. Big vision. Friendship Academy of the Arts, a tuition-free, K-8 charter school, welcomes one and all to share their public-school setting with a private school feel. Friendship Academy of the Arts is committed to empowering scholars to be lifelong leaders and learners by developing the whole child socially, emotionally, academically, and artistically. Help us provide important supplies and devices to Friendship Academy of the Arts, and their teachers and scholars. 



All donations made through the fundraising page will be matched $1 for $1 - up to a maximum of $10,000.  Thrivent pays the online processing fees so 100% will go directly to the cause. InFaith Community Foundation will provide a $1 for $1 match on donations made during this online campaign.  This match will run until the $10,000 cap is met or until 5/14/21, whichever is sooner. Donations must be made through Thrivent's online giving platform. Thrivent will pay up to $100,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.
