Parents, Kids and Money Matters is designed specifically for parents and their children. The workshop will help you:

• Reflect on the values you want your kids to learn

• Teach your kids about money and values

• Learn practical tools to make teaching about money fun

The afternoon will begin with lunch and a generosity project at noon followed by a fun interactive presentation. Once the event concludes at 1:30 p.m. feel free to spend the rest of the day enjoying the museum! Attendance to the event includes admission to the museum. Event is best suited for children 6-11 years of age.

Thrivent Night at the Movies: Blind Eyes Opened

Join us, the Thrivent Member Network-Southeast Region, for a free night at the movies. Blind Eyes Opened is a first-of-a-kind Christian documentary that dives deep into the sex trafficking industry in the U.S. The film exposes the darkness that fuels demand, highlights survivors' transformations through Christ, engages lawmakers, law enforcement, organizations, ministries and experts across the country committed to ending the atrocities, all while showing Christ as the hope for all involved.

Join us for fun golf games, lunch, service projects and to learn how to make your life count, going from making money to making a difference. The Thrivent Member Network-Southeast Region is hosting guest speaker Dean Niewlony, CEO of the Halftime Institute, the international organization with over 20 years of experience helping marketplace leaders go “from success to significance.” The first 30 people to register will receive a free copy of his book, Trade Up. Feel free to arrive any time between 9:30-10:30 a.m. to participate in the service projects. If you would like to stay and play golf games, the bays are available from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Wall Raising with HabiJax

Come out and volunteer with us! Help us build walls with HabiJax that will be used in high-quality, affordable cottage homes on the north side of Jacksonville. Together, Thrivent and Habitat for Humanity help families in need of a safe and decent place to call home. With our communities, who put God's love into action by pooling their power and passion, our partnership helps both those giving and those receiving on their journey to a more content, confident and fulfilling life.

 

All volunteers must be 16 years old or older, and all must sign a waiver to participate in the activity. We'll be serving a light breakfast before we kick off the work. Space is limited, so sign up today!

With our communities, who put God’s love into action by pooling their power and passion, our partnership helps both those giving and those receiving on their journey to a more content,  confident and fulfilling life. 

 

The dedication will be followed with a small reception at the Cooper Center. RSVP by January 22.
