Thank you to all involved with the success of these paper shredding events in 2023. $10 was donated to a highlighted non-profit for each vehicle PLUS 2 trees will be planted on behalf of each participant through the Arbor Day Foundation’s tree planting efforts.

Total: $4210 was donated to our partnering nonprofits, 908 trees will be planted, and approximately 21,000lbs of paper was collected.

With an increased need for food security, the Thrivent Member Network - Nebraska Region hosted a November Food Shelf Challenge. We extended an offer for the first 50 Thrivent clients to apply for the challenge, which consisted of collecting at least 500 non-perishable food items and health essentials for their local food shelf and the organization would receive $500 from the Nebraska Region as a generosity multiplier for their efforts.

Fifty clients took the challenge and fifty food shelves across the region will receive a $500 check upon completion of the food drives.

We are thankful for all that encouraged these communities and their neighbors to #LiveGenerously this holiday season!

One submission per church/group/food shelf and one Generosity Multiplier Gift per submission, up to a maximum of $500. The challenge will provide gifts up to the total of $25,000.

Orphan Grain Train, Inc.'s donors and supporters generously gave $109,043.00 in donations! Add in the $20,000 match from Thrivent and the grand total comes to $129,043 from 281 different donors across the United States.
The monies raised have helped to purchase requested food and supplies along with costs for cargo shipments to Maui to help families devastated from one of the worst US fires in years.
