About Us

Beasley is currently the Corporate Tax Manager for Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Gwynedd Mercy University and a Master’s Business Administration from West Chester University. In her congregation she serves as the Financial Associate, Gospel and Mass Choir Director and Director of Operations. Beasley wants our membership to know about "special programs and resources that can help them to live generously, be wise with money and help the world."

Bruer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology and Sociology from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington. She also holds a Lifetime Membership of Girl Scouts of the USA. "The two main objectives I hope to accomplish while on the Board is to give back and make a difference. I am a strong proponent in giving back and this role is in line with my passion for helping others while at the same time utilizing my skills and experiences." Bruer has been a Thrivent Member since 1996.

DeRemer is the founding director of LIFECYCLES, a nonprofit that offers urban young men mentoring, spiritual development and life skills development via a Christ-centered bicycle touring experience. He is looking forward to helping the Thrivent Member Network regional board serve as catalysts to increase our memberships' giving in local communities. "Giving can change lives at the local level, and builds individuals, families and communities more effectively than programs administered from a distance."

Rev. Michel Faulkner has dedicated his life to serving God and his community. He graduated from Virginia Tech., with a B.A. in communications. After college, Rev. Faulkner played two seasons in the NFL. Faulkner then returned to VA Tech for his MA. After finishing his master’s degree, he became the Assistant Dean of Students at Liberty University and was promoted to Vice President for Urban Ministry. Rev. Faulkner joined the Philadelphia Council of Clergy and serves as Executive Director, the oldest African American Clergy organization in Philadelphia. Faulkner serves as the Pastor for Outreach Ministries at Victory Church in Audubon, PA. He has authored 1 book and completed 4 marathons. I believe in the mission of Thrivent! There is great need for what we can offer in the community, and I want to help make the connections.

Haddad is currently the Vice President of Community Early Learning Initiatives for Community Services for Children. Previously, the senior VP of education and production for PBS39 WLVT, has worked in public television for most of her career. "I hope the regional board will provide opportunities to encourage greater commitment and participation in outreach efforts across the region, to positively impact our communities." She has been a Thrivent member since 2009.

A Thrivent member since the 1980's, Stuck is a retired partner of KPMG in Philadelphia. He's also a board member for PLAN of PA, a nonprofit that provides trust and care management services to individuals with special needs. "I hope to be able to help Thrivent better achieve its mission, broaden awareness of the Thrivent brand within the Christian community, assist others in understanding how Thrivent can help them financially and charitably, and work with others to strengthen our communities."
