Look what happens when we give together! We are so inspired by your commitment to generosity. You shared inspirational messages, made donations to support Camp Okoboji, and made a tremendous impact in just one day.

Here in the Thrivent Member Network – Greater Iowa we raised over $48,000! Camp will now be able to grow their ministry and program options, such as enhanced Family Ministry, a 2nd Cub Week, Music Therapy Camp for Veterans, Adventure Camp, Lock-ins, and more. They will also be improving such facilities as dorm cabin conversions, Family Ministry cabin rebuilds, roofing projects, long range planning, and more.

Join us from the comfort of your home for a special family book reading of Something About Christmas with author/storyteller, Tom Roberts. Tom's newest Christmas story is beautifully illustrated by Hector Curriel and is the latest in a set of heartwarming Christmas stories from Tom Roberts and Children’s Home Society of South Dakota.   

Something About Christmas is a poetic story of a little boy who is sad that Christmas is over and it is time to put away the decorations. His parents help him realize that Christmas continues to exist in the dawn of each new day.  

Each household in attendance for the LIVE presentation (10am on 12/05/2020) will receive an autographed copy of Tom Roberts' latest book, Something About Christmas, courtesy of your Thrivent Member Network - Greater Iowa Region. One book per household. To qualify, you must register, attend, and complete the survey following the event. The survey provides us with an address to which the book will be shipped. Chapman is an experienced and well-respected family counselor, and a well-known author.  He has been directly involved in real-life family counseling for more almost 40 years. Dr. Chapman also serves as senior associate pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
