Mid-Michigan Flooding Disaster Response
We often hear from Thrivent members who want to reach out to those in need when tragedy strikes - like the widespread flooding that struck Gladwin, Midland, Saginaw and other surrounding MI counties. Buildings were moved off their foundation, roads and bridges were wiped out and approximately 11,000 Michigan residents were evacuated from their homes. This devastation is being called a 500-year flood event and has impacted the lives of many.
Thrivent is offering ways for you to help:
1. Donate online to support organizations assisting with disaster relief efforts; Thrivent will boost it!
Let's band together to raise $60,000 to support the recovery efforts. For every $2 you donate through Thrivent's online giving platform to one of the organization's listed below, Thrivent will add $1*. Thrivent will also pay all the processing fees so 100% will go to help.**
2. Apply to lead a Thrivent Action Team
Important: Be sure to review and follow the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control as well as additional guidelines by public and health officials in your community.
